Bangladesh-Pakistan Defense Talks Aim to Boost Military Cooperation

Islamabad: A high-level defense delegation from Bangladesh, led by Lieutenant General S M Kamrul Hassan, Principal Staff Officer of the Armed Forces Division, met with Air Chief Marshal Zaheer Ahmed Baber Sidhu, Chief of the Air Staff of the Pakistan Air Force, at the Air Headquarters in Islamabad.

According to a statement by Inter Services Public Relations, the meeting focused on strengthening the military partnership between the two air forces through joint training initiatives. Both parties expressed interest in exploring collaborative opportunities, particularly in exchange initiatives and joint training programs.

Lieutenant General Hassan praised the innovative projects and technologies developed by the Pakistan Air Force under its current leadership. He showed significant interest in the military hardware produced, notably the JF-17 Thunder fighter jets.

The discussions underscore a shared commitment to enhancing military ties and fostering cooperation, aiming to build stronger relations between Bangladesh and Pakistan.
