London: Commenting on the Birmingham counter-terrorism raids earlier today, Shahid Mursaleen, spokesman of Minhaj-ul-Quran International UK said “We hope that the Birmingham raids were intelligence led. It is vital to protect the national security.”
“The Muslim community should co-operate with the Police and has an obligation to inform the authorities if they see any danger which can harm the community.”
“The objective of such raids should be to protect the community.”
A leading Muslim scholar Dr Muhammad Tahir-ul-Qadri is scheduled to address issues of extremism within our community and will announce anti-extremism declaration on Saturday 24 Sept at Wembley Arena. It is expected to be attended by more than 12,000 young Muslims.
