BJP Leader Kailash Nag Assassinated in Chhattisgarh by Naxalites

Chhattisgarh, Kailash Nag, a leader of the Bharatiya Janata Party (BJP) and the divisional vice president of the party’s business cell, was killed in an attack by Naxalites in the Kotmeta area of Chhattisgarh, a state troubled by insurgent activities. The incident involved the abduction and interrogation of Nag before his assassination, marking a significant escalation in violence against political figures in the region.

According to Kashmir Media Service, Nag was overseeing the construction of a new pond in Kotmeta of Jangla when he was abducted. During the attack, his JCB machinery was also set on fire, signifying a targeted strike against infrastructure development efforts in the area. This assassination comes closely on the heels of another tragic event where BJP leader Tirupati Katla was killed by Naxalites on his way to a wedding ceremony, underscoring the ongoing conflict and the high risk faced by political figures in Chhattisgarh.
