Blinding of teenagers in Pulwama widely denounced

Srinagar, November 02, 2016 (PPI-OT): In occupied Kashmir, the All Parties Hurriyet Conference and other pro-freedom organizations have condemned the use of brute force on protesters and blinding of teenagers by Indian forces at Rohmu in Pulwama district.

The APHC in a statement in Srinagar said, ruthless killings and blinding of boys and girls negate so-called concern of puppet ministers about the education of our youth.

“How can these liars face the grief stricken parents of hundreds of innocents, from Insha to Afra, as they continue to cripple our coming generation for the lust and greed of power,” an APHC spokesman said in the statement. While giving the details of the incident at Rohmu Pulwama, he said, “In the village army and police during house-to-house search resorted to the brutal and inhuman beating of people.”

Referring to the unabated spree of gutting educational institutions, the APHC said, “These foul smelling mouthpieces of the brutal oppressive regime with RSS backing have waged a war against the people especially Muslims. Otherwise, everybody here knows that in the thick of night either police and armed forces roam around or those faceless politicians who represent them, as in broad daylight their wicked and cruel faces may invite public bashing and banging.”

“Who else is responsible, other than these killer forces, in destroying houses and ransacking the belongings of the people and burning of harvest crop during night? APHC reiterates its stand that those involved in gutting the schools, bank robberies, thrashing of innocent people or any other unsocial activity can never be well wishers of the ongoing movement, and these acts of grave human and social disrespect are dangerous and venomous for the movement. We believe that this is the handiwork of the Indian spy agencies and frustrated pro-India political elite as this only profits them,” the statement added.

Meanwhile, the forum led by Mirwaiz Umar Farooq, Tehreek-e-Hurriyet, Democratic Freedom Party, Democratic Political Movement, Islamic Political Party, Kashmir Freedom Front, Tehreek-e-Mazahmat, Jamaat-e-Islami, Salvation Movement, JKLF-R, Muslim Political League, Tehreek-e-Khawateen Kashmir, Muslim Khawateen Markaz, High Court Bar Association and Peoples Freedom League in their separate statements and meetings said that snatching eyesight of innocent boys and girls had become a hobby for the puppet regime. Denouncing the use of blind force against civilians and injuries in eyes to three young girls in Rohmu village of Pulwama district, the organizations said that people of Kashmir could not be intimidated through such cheap tactics.
