Businessmen condole death of PIAF chairman father

Lahore, March 11, 2019 (PPI-OT): The business community on Friday expressed its shock and sorrow over the sad demise of father of PIAF Chairman Mian Abdul Kabir, who is renowned figure of Baghbanpura and the father of PIAF chairman and former interim provincial minister Mian Nauman Kabir.

The funeral prayer of Mian Abdul Kabir was offered at Jamia masjid W-Block, DHA Phase III, while his burial was made at his ancestral graveyard in Baghbanpura. A large number of people, including trade and industry leaders, chambers office-bearers, government functionaries and civil society members attended his funeral.

PIAF former chairman Irfan Iqbal Sheikh, LCCI president Almas Haider and patron in chief PIAF Mian Anjum Nisar, in their condolence messages, prayed to Allah Almighty to rest the departed soul in eternal peace, and grant patience to the bereaved family to bear this irreparable loss with fortitude. They paid tributes to the late for his services for the cause of trade and industry.

The Qul (Quran Khunai and Dua) for the departed soul will be held on Sunday (today January 10) at 4pm at his residence at 237 F, DHA Phase 5, behind LUMS Lahore. PIAF founder chairman Mian Shafqat Ali, senior vice chairman Piaf Nasir Hameed Khan, vice chairman Piaf Javed Iqbal Siddique, former chairmen PIAF Muhammad Ali Mian, Irfan Qaiser Sheikh, Malik Tahir Javed, former vice chairmen Kh. Sjahzeb, Tanvir A Sufi, Khamis Butt, Secretary PIAF Abdus Saboor and other market leaders and industrialists have also paid condolences on the sad demise of Mian Abdul Kabir.
