Capital Development Authority’s Anti Encroachment Operation in different areas of the city

Islamabad, March 28, 2019 (PPI-OT): In continuation with its anti-encroachment drive, Capital Development Authority (CDA) carried out operations in collaboration with ICT Administration in different areas of the city. During the anti-encroachment activities carried out on Wednesday several illegal constructions were demolished and vacated state land from illegal occupants.

Enforcement Directorate during an operation conducted at sector I-14/2 vacated possession of some residential area. Due to possession issue allottees were unable to construct their houses in the vicinity. These plots were illegally occupied by the affectees of Moza Sheikhpur. These affecctees have already been compensated by the authority, however, they have been further directed to approach along with relevant documents Land and Rehabilitation Directorate of the authority in case of any leftover claim.

Another operation was carried out in vicinity of Sandemar Dam. Few elements were trying to encroach state land. During this operation, illegally constructed boundary walls on state land were demolished. Dam management has been directed to ensure that the state land could not be encroached again.

Similarly, another operation was carried out along the G.T Road. During this operation, encroachments from Tarnol Center Plaza to Israr market were demolished. During this operation 50 shops, three (03) hotels, four (04) kiosks, three (03) kabarkhana, four (04) sheds and other encroachments were razed.
