Caretaker chief minister Sindh chairs meeting regarding law and order situation

Karachi, April 28, 2013 (PPI-OT): Caretaker Chief Minister Sindh Justice (Rtd) Zahid Kurban Alavi presided a high level meeting to review the law and order situation at CM House on Sunday. The meeting was attended among others by caretaker information minister Noor ul Huda Shah, Principal Secretary to CM Sindh Naveed KAmran Baloch, heads of law enforcement agencies and Intelligencies.Addressing the meeting CM Sindh said that terrorists and anti-state elements want to delay the geneal elections by creating law and order situation.

He expressed his firm commitment to foil the conspiracies and crushing their ill-designs, adding that elections would be held on time according to the schedule. Caretaker CM Sindh said that untowars incidents took place near the offices and election camps of different parties “to stop such attacks and ensuring security and safety across the Sindh especially in Karachi provincial government is taking prompt and urgent measures” he added.

He directed the LEAs to beef up the security surrounding the offices, elections camps and candidates of all the political parties. CM Sindh expressed his firm resolve to provide peaceful and conducive environment to the voters so that they could cast their votes without any fear. He said that terrorist and miscreant elements want to create panic among the people but present government with the help of political parties and people will crush their nefarious designs.

He praised the spirit of patience and harmony shown by heads of various political parties during current situation. He added that political parties continued their support in spite of precarious situation and all the political parties are united to hold elections on time. “Such resolve and firm commitment of parties will defeat the ill-designs of the terrorists and anti state elements” C.C.M further added. Earlier Chief Minister was briefed in detail about the present law and order situation by law enforcement agencies.

They said that in spite of limited resources and Shortage of personnel all possible measures have been adopted to restore the peace and curb the terrorist activities in the metropolis adding that there would be positive results very soon and law and order situation will improve in few days. C.C.M Sindh said that in all parties conference (APC) meeting scheduled on 30th April, the suggestions of the all political parties will be incorporated and further steps will be taken accordingly.
