Chambers of Commerce and Industry should focus on innovation to overcome upcoming challenges in today’s world: Moin Fudda

Lahore, April 16, 2015 (PPI-OT): Two-day Secretaries General Conference held under the auspices of CIPE, concluded with the pledge to bring excellence in the working of Chamber and trade bodies.

The speakers include Country Director CIPE Moin Fudda, Deputy Country Director CIPE Hammad Siddique, Secretary General of Towel Manufacturers Association Muhammad Muzzammil Hussain and LCCI Secretary General Shahid Khalil.

The Country Director of CIPE Moin Fudda said that Chambers of Commerce and Industry should focus on innovation to overcome upcoming challenges in today’s world.

He said that it was an age of knowledge economy and only those countries would have their say in global affairs who have strong economies.

The CIPE Country Director also urged the Chambers to strengthen their role towards policy advocacy that should be their forte.

The Deputy Country Director of CIPE Hammad Siddique threw light on the aims and objectives of CIPE. He said that CIPE is increasing private sector participation in the democratic process and also increasing support for and understanding of the freedoms, rights and responsibilities essential to market-oriented democracies among government officials, businesspeople, media and the public.
