LDA Records Highest Revenue in Five Years from Property Auction

Lahore, The Lahore Development Authority (LDA) has successfully auctioned 25 properties, including residential and commercial plots, petrol pumps, and educational sites, generating a record revenue of PKR 1,114,995,922. This marks the highest income from such an event in the past five financial years.

According to Zameen.Com, LDA Director General Tahir Farooq oversaw the auction and declared it the most successful in recent history. Notable sales included the lease rights for a property in LDA Avenue One and a petrol pump site, each fetching PKR 9.6 crore. Another significant transaction was a property in Johar Town that went for PKR 3.12 crore, while an educational site in a residential area sold for PKR 91.43 lakh.

The auction’s success was largely due to meticulous planning, transparent procedures, and a competitive bidding environment maintained by the auction committee. The event not only underscores the robustness of Lahore’s real estate market but also highlights LDA’s pivotal role in promoting sustainable urban development and economic growth in the region.
