Chief Minister Maryam Nawaz Sharif Commends Law Enforcement for Counterterrorism Success in Mianwali

Lahore: Punjab’s Chief Minister Maryam Nawaz Sharif lauded the Counter-Terrorism Department (CTD) for their decisive action in Mianwali, which resulted in the elimination of seven terrorists linked to the Khawarij group. This operation underscores the ongoing commitment of local law enforcement to combat terrorism within the region.

According to Directorate General Public Relation – Govt of Punjab announcement issued on 07 October 2024, Chief Minister Sharif expressed her profound support for the CTD and other law enforcement agencies, emphasizing that the “nation stands by its law enforcement agencies.” She highlighted the continuous efforts required to ensure the complete eradication of terrorism, affirming that the struggle against such threats will persist until they are fully eliminated.

Sharif also praised the combined efforts of the Pakistan Army, Police, and other security agencies, recognizing them as the guarantors of public security and expressing pride in their dedication and bravery in protecting the nation.
