Khyber District: A severe flash flood triggered by heavy rainfall near Ali Masjid in the Khyber district resulted in the deaths of two children, with another two rescued from the waters. The unfortunate incident underscores the ongoing risks associated with extreme weather events in the region.
According to Provincial Disaster Management Authority, the flash flood occurred on the evening of October 8, 2024. The children, identified as Faizan, aged 10, and Azan, aged 9, were swept away by the sudden floodwaters. Despite rescue efforts, they were later found deceased.
