Chief Minister’s Advisor terms Punjab Budget business and masses friendly

Lahore, June 11, 2012 (PPI-OT): Former president of the Lahore Chamber of Commerce and Industry and Advisor of Chief Minister Punjab on Trade Affairs Muhammad Ali Mian has termed the Punjab Budget 2012-13 business and masses friendly.

In a press statement issued here Monday, Muhammad Ali Mian said that the Punjab Budget tax free budget reflects the broad vision of Punjab Chief Minister Mian Muhammad Shahbaz Sharif who is utilizing his all energies to turn the province into hub of economic activities.

He hailed the allocation of Rs. 10 billion for electricity generation through coal and said that the step would help overcoming the ongoing energy crisis that has crippled the national economy. He said that coal generated electricity would cost only Rs. 5 to 7 that would help to bring down the cost of doing business.

Muhammad Ali Mian said that allocation of education and distribution of 125,000 laptops will help boost the literacy rate in the province. He said that interest free loans to the 150,000 qualified skilled workers would not only bring down the unemployment rate but would also generate thousands new jobs in the province.

He said that allocations for infrastructure in the Punjab budget would go a long way. He said that good infrastructure also catches the attention of foreign investors. He said that in the time to come, Punjab would be the most attractful place for the investors.

He said the allocation to Punjab Industrial Estate would facilitate the company to establish large industrial estate in the province.
