China and Pakistan to Bolster Counter-Terrorism Efforts, Chinese Envoy Asserts

Islamabad, In a move to deepen bilateral security ties, China has reaffirmed its readiness to strengthen counter-terrorism cooperation with Pakistan as part of their shared vision for a joint community and future.

According to Ministry of Information and Broadcasting, Chinese Ambassador to Pakistan, Jiang Zaidong, articulated this commitment in a recent article. Emphasizing a comprehensive approach to national security, Ambassador Jiang underscored the necessity of mutual efforts to combat forces that threaten Pak-China collaboration. He invoked President Xi Jinping’s vision of a Global Security Initiative, advocating for collaborative responses to security challenges for mutually beneficial outcomes.

The Ambassador denounced the March 26th terrorist attack on Chinese nationals in Pakistan, urging swift and decisive action to investigate and penalize the culprits. He also suggested enhancing economic security by advancing the China-Pakistan Economic Corridor (CPEC) and assured China’s support in maintaining stringent counter-terrorism operations to decisively combat terrorism.
