China Ready to Help Achieve Ceasefire Between Pakistan, India: Xiaogang

Beijing: China has expressed its readiness to continue playing a constructive role in achieving a comprehensive ceasefire between Pakistan and India as well as in preserving regional peace. This was stated by the spokesperson for China’s Ministry of National Defense, Zhang Xiaogang, during a regular media briefing in Beijing today.

According to Radio Pakistan, Xiaogang emphasized that Pakistan and India are neighboring countries that cannot distance themselves from each other. The spokesperson called on both parties to maintain calm and restraint, and avoid actions that can further complicate the situation.
