Civil Awards Conferred to Scientists and Engineers at Chaklala Garrison Ceremony

Rawalpindi, General Sahir Shamshad Mirza, Chairman Joint Chiefs of Staff Committee (CJCSC), conferred civil awards on behalf of the President of the Islamic Republic of Pakistan to eminent scientists and engineers from strategic organizations for their distinguished services. The Investiture Ceremony took place at Chaklala Garrison, Rawalpindi.

According to Inter Services Public Relations, 35 awardees were honored at the ceremony, recognizing their significant contributions to the nation. Among the recipients, seven officers received the Sitara-i-Imtiaz, 15 officers were awarded the President’s Award for Pride of Performance, and 13 officers received the Tamgha-i-Imtiaz.

In his address, Chairman JCSC General Sahir Shamshad Mirza praised the scientists and engineers for their exceptional contributions, referring to them as the “unseen heroes” of the nation. He highlighted the critical role these professionals play in strengthening the foundations of a resilient nation and emphasized that the country is indebted to their selfless service.

The ceremony aimed to acknowledge and celebrate the achievements of these individuals, whose work has been instrumental in advancing Pakistan’s strategic interests. General Mirza’s remarks underscored the importance of recognizing the efforts of those who work behind the scenes to ensure the nation’s stability and growth.
