CJP Initiates Suo Motu Action on Islamabad High Court Judges’ Letter

Islamabad, In a significant judicial development, Chief Justice of Pakistan, Justice Qazi Faez Isa, has taken suo motu notice concerning a letter penned by six judges of the Islamabad High Court. This proactive step underscores the judiciary’s commitment to addressing internal concerns raised by its members.

According to Ministry of Information and Broadcasting, a seven-member bench has been constituted to hear the case, with proceedings set to begin on Wednesday. Under the leadership of Justice Qazi Faez Isa himself, the bench will comprise Justice Mansoor Ali Shah, Justice Yahya Khan Afridi, Justice Athar Minallah, Justice Musarat Hilali, Justice Naeem Akhtar Afghan, and Justice Jamal Khan Mandokhel, bringing together a diverse group of judicial minds to deliberate on the matters raised in the letter.

This move by the Chief Justice signifies the judiciary’s readiness to scrutinize and potentially rectify issues within its ranks, ensuring the integrity and functionality of the legal system remain intact.
