Compliance of ECP’s code of conduct vital to ensure free, fair elections: Shahid Tarar

Caretaker Minister for Communications, Shahid Ashraf Tarar has called for thorough compliance of code of conduct for General Elections to ensure free, fair and transparent polls.

He was presiding over a meeting of a committee in Karachi to oversee security for general elections.

Sindh Chief Secretary briefed the meeting on administrative measures while DG Rangers and IG Sindh provided insights into the security situation and state of preparedness.

The committee was constituted by the caretaker Prime Minister Anwaar-ul-Haq Kakar to ensure security and peaceful conduct of general elections.
