Concern expressed over TeH leader’s harassment in IOK

Srinagar, July 25, 2015 (PPI-OT):In occupied Kashmir, the forum patronized by the veteran Hurriyet leader, Syed Ali Gilani has expressed serious concern over the harassment of Tehreek-e-Hurriyet Jammu and Kashmir leader, Muhammad Yousuf Lone, and his family members by a Major of Indian army at Karalapora in Kupwara.

The forum spokesman in a statement issued in Srinagar said that the personnel of an Indian military camp established at Karalapora had been insisting Muhammad Yousuf Lone to ensure his presence in the camp. “But Yousuf Lone rejected the directives saying that he was a political workers and their was no reason to call him in the camp,” he said.

The spokesman said that on Thursday a Major of the camp along with other personnel raided the residence of the Hurriyet leaders, questioned him for more than an hour and harassed his family members. The spokesman warned that the puppet administration, Indian army and pro-India parties would be responsible if anything untoward happened to Muhammad Yousuf Lone. He also appealed to the international human rights organizations to take notice of the stepped up Indian state terrorism in occupied Kashmir.
