Concern expressed over use of force on protesters in IOK

Srinagar, July 20, 2014 (PPI-OT): In occupied Kashmir, Hurriyet leaders, Shabbir Ahmad Shah, Barrister Abdul Majeed Tramboo, Mukhtar Ahmad Waza, Nayeem Ahmad Khan and Zamrooda Habib have expressed serious concern over the use of brute force by Indian forces against Kashmiri people protesting against Israeli oppression in Gaza.

Hurriyet leader, Shabbir Ahmad Shah, who is continuously under house arrest, in a statement issued in Srinagar said, “The reason is that Indian forces are well aware that Kashmir and Palestine issues are of same nature, so they crush the Kashmiri people without any mercy.”

He said the only crime of a 15-year-old Suhail Ahmad of Kulgam was that he was protesting against Israeli genocide in Gaza and was expressing his solidarity with the people of Palestine.

The JKLF-R Chief Patron, Barrister Abdul Majeed Malik in a statement issued in Srinagar, while paying glowing tributes to Suhail Ahmad Lone, who was martyred in Kulgam, said, by such inhuman actions India is trying to prove that it is the loyal and sincere ally of Israel as Israel is killing the Palestinians and here India is killing those who stand up in the favour of Palestinians.

APHC leader, Mukhtar Ahmad Waza in his statement condemned use of brute force on peaceful anti-Israel protesters in Kulgam resulting serious injuries to over dozen innocent teenagers.

The Chairman of Jammu and Kashmir National Front, Nayeem Ahmad Khan and Chairperson of Kashmir Tehreek-e-Khawateen, Zamrooda Habib in their statements strongly condemned the use of brute force on innocent people of Kashmir and described it frustration of the authorities.

They urged the world community and the international human rights organizations to take serious notice of the Indian state terrorism.
