Dar-es-Salaam Textile Mills Changes Name to DTM Limited; Approves New Business Line for Profitability

Karachi, Dar-es-Salaam Textile Mills Limited has successfully obtained stakeholder approval to change its name to DTM Limited during an Extraordinary General Meeting held on June 27, 2023. Additionally, the company’s principal line of business has been updated to include Sale / Purchase Distribution, Trading Merchandise, and general order Supplier.

The change in the principal line of business will facilitate the removal of the company’s name from the default segment to the regular segment with Pakistan Stock Exchange Limited. This transition aims to meet the extended deadline by October 2023, as stated in the SECP show cause notice u/s 301 of the Companies Act 2017, concerning the major qualification of going concern.

The management believes that the implementation of the business plan under the new name will enable DTM Limited to transform into a profitable enterprise, marking a positive development for the company’s future prospects.
