Death Anniversary of Mir Taqi Mir Observed

Lahore: Two hundred and fifteenth death anniversary of classical Urdu poet Mir Taqi Mir was observed on Saturday. He was born in Agra in 1723.

According to Radio Pakistan, Mir Taqi Mir’s poetry gave shape to the Urdu language. He was one of the principal poets of the Delhi School of Urdu called Dabistan-e-Delhi. Mir breathed his last on this day in Lucknow in 1810.
