Demos in IIOJK against eviction drive

Srinagar, February 11, 2023 (PPI-OT):In Indian illegally occupied Jammu and Kashmir, people held protest demonstrations in Srinagar, Jammu and other areas against the ongoing evictions being carried out by the authorities in the name of anti-encroachment drive, which is actually aimed at grabbing the land and properties of the Muslims and rendering them homeless. A large number of people participated in a sit-in protest at Press Enclave in Srinagar against the eviction drive.

The participants of the sit-in were holding placards in their hands which read “stop bulldozing and stop demolishing houses of poor”. Similar demonstrations were also held in north Kashmir’s Bandipora district and Gole Market in Gandhi Nagar area of Jammu. The protesters sought immediate end to the demolition drive without any delay.
