Karachi, June 28, 2012 (PPI-OT): National Electric Power Regulatory Authority (Nepra) has increased power tariff of Distribution Companies by PkR 1.51 per unit across the board, except for lifeline consumers, for May 2012 under its monthly fuel adjustment formula.
According to Alfalah Securities Limited, this increase will be borne by consumers in December 2012 which would lead to have an overall inflationary impact on the economy.
