DPM Reaffirms Pakistan’s Support for China on Core Issues

Islamabad: Deputy Prime Minister Ishaq Dar has reaffirmed Pakistan’s firm support for China on all core issues including the adherence to the One-China Principle. He was talking to Chinese Ambassador to Pakistan Jiang Zaidong in Islamabad this afternoon.

According to Radio Pakistan, Ambassador Jiang Zaidong conveyed Season’s Greetings and best wishes for the new year to Ishaq Dar on behalf of Chinese Foreign Minister Wang Yi. Reciprocating New Year’s greetings, Ishaq Dar appreciated China’s strong support for Pakistan’s territorial integrity, sovereignty, and national development.

He reiterated that Pakistan recognizes China as the sole legitimate government representing all China, with Taiwan being an inalienable part of China. The two sides reviewed the overall state of bilateral relations and agreed that their All-Weather Strategic Partnership remains a cornerstone of Pakistan’s foreign policy and an anchor for regional peace and security.
