Islamabad, April 11, 2016 (PPI-OT):President Mamnoon Hussain has said that due to sound economic and investment policies, the foreign investors are evincing keen interest in making investments in Pakistan. The President said this while talking to a delegation of Pakistan Stock Exchange comprising Mr. Arif Habib and Mr. Muhammad Yasin Lakhani at the Aiwan-e-Sadr, Islamabad on Monday.

President Mamnoon Hussain called upon the foreign investors to benefit from the liberal investment policy and make investments in the very lucrative fields of energy, infrastructure and agriculture sectors. The President praised the performance of the Prime Minister’s economic team and said that due to sound policies, the national economy has been rejuvenated and expressed his optimism that the economy will grow at a faster pace in the future.

President Mamnoon Hussain said that most of the economic indicators are positive and this has also been acknowledged by the international institutions. The President said that the merger of different stock exchanges into Pakistan Stock Exchange augers well for the overall economy and hoped that it will lead to higher investment in Pakistan. The delegation apprised President Mamnoon Hussain about matters relating to Pakistan Stock Exchange.
