President of Pakistan-France Friendship Group calls on Chairman Senate

Islamabad, April 11, 2016 (PPI-OT):Chairman Senate Mian Raza Rabbani has underscored the need for enhanced cooperation between Pakistan and France and called for further strengthening bilateral relations through parliamentary exchanges and boosting cooperation in various other areas of mutual interest. He said this while talking to Parliamentary delegation of France led by Mr. Pascal Allizard, President, Pakistan-France Friendship group called on Mian Raza Rabbani, Chairman Senate, Parliament House today.

He said that Pakistan places its bilateral relations with France in high esteem and there is huge scope of further cooperation at economic level. The Chairman Senate also expressed solidarity with Parliament and peoples of France on recent terrorist attack in Paris. He said that collective efforts are required to root out the menace of terrorism. Pakistan, Mian Raza Rabbani said, has suffered huge losses due to terrorism. However, our resolve is unmoved against the terror.

Leader of the French Parliamentary delegation agreed with the views of Chairman Senate and said that Parliamentary cooperation between the two sides needs to be enhanced. He also conveyed his condolences on the tragic bomb blast in Lahore recently.
