ECP continues to impose fine for violation of Election Code of Conduct

The District Monitoring Officers, under the directives of the Election Commission of Pakistan (ECP), have been issuing notices and imposing fines on candidates and other officials concerned in Khyber Pakhtunkhwa as well for violation of the Election Code of Conduct.

The District Monitoring Officers, while taking action against candidates, imposed overall a fine of nine hundred sixty-six thousand rupees.

According to details, ninety-five thousand rupees fine was imposed on candidates in Peshawar Division, in Malakand Division three hundred thousand rupees, in Hazara Division one hundred seventy-one thousand rupees, Mardan Division one hundred and five thousand rupees, Kohat Division one hundred and fifteen thousand rupees, Bannu Division thirty thousand rupees while one hundred and fifty thousand rupees fine was imposed on candidates in Dera Ismail Khan Division for violation of the Election Code of Conduct.
