Egyptian FM Felicitates Pakistan on Signing of US-Iran MoU

Islamabad: Deputy Prime Minister and Foreign Minister Ishaq Dar spoke this afternoon with Egyptian Foreign Minister Badr Abdelatty. During the telephonic conversation, the Egyptian Foreign Minister congratulated Pakistan on the signing of a Memorandum of Understanding between the United States and Iran.

According to Radio Pakistan, Badr Abdelatty commended Pakistan’s contribution to advancing peace and stability in the region and beyond. The Egyptian Foreign Minister’s remarks highlighted the significant role Pakistan played in facilitating the MoU, which is expected to have a far-reaching impact on regional dynamics.

The two leaders also emphasized the positive implications of this development for the global economic outlook. The signing of the MoU is seen as a crucial step towards reducing tensions and fostering cooperation between major global powers, which could lead to enhanced economic stability and growth.

Further discussions between the leaders included the forthcoming Regional Four (R-4) Foreign Ministers’ Meeting, which involves Pakistan, Saudi Arabia, Trkiye, and Egypt. This meeting is scheduled to take place in Al Alamein, Egypt, in the coming days, and is expected to address various regional issues and further strengthen diplomatic ties among the participating countries.
