Embassy of Pakistan, Kathmandu organizes a talk programme on topic “Jammu and Kashmir dispute and regional stability”

Islamabad, February 06, 2019 (PPI-OT): Embassy of Pakistan, Kathmandu organized a talk programme / interaction on the topic “Jammu and Kashmir dispute and regional stability” on 05th February 2019. The programme was well attended by large segments of Nepalese society including parliamentarians, think tanks, intellectuals, Academicians, media persons and civil society, says a press release received here today from Kathmandu, Nepal. 05 February is observed as Solidarity Day by the people of Pakistan around the world to express their solidarity with the people of Jammu and Kashmir in support of their right of self determination.

Distinguished speaker; senior journalist, editor and noted scholar, Mr. Rajan Karki, said that stressed the need to stop the human right violations by the Indian Occupation Forces and the need to resolve the dispute for peace and stability in the region. Noted scholar, author expert and former Ambassador, Mr. Hiranaya Lal Shrestha highlighted the Kashmiri’s right of self determination and to resolve the dispute as per UN resolutions. Ambassador of Pakistan in his talk drew attention on historical perspective of Jammu and Kashmir dispute. He emphasized dire need for the resolution of the Jammu and Kashmir dispute as per wishes and the UN resolutions. This he said is also imperative for lasting peace in the region.
