Srinagar, August 04, 2018 (PPI-OT): In occupied Kashmir, India’s National Investigation Agency (NIA) has filed in its Jammu court a charge-sheet against six people in connection with the escape of a detainee. The detainee, Naveed Jatt, who was arrested in 2014 from Kulgam district, escaped from the police custody on February 6, this year, after unknown gunmen attacked the police party accompanying him to SMHS Hospital in Srinagar where he was taken for a medical check-up from Central Jail, Srinagar. Two policemen were killed in the attack.
Soon after the escape, the NIA had filed a case and started investigation and on Friday it filed the charge-sheet at the NIA Special Court in Jammu against Naveed Jatt, Hilal Ahmed Rathar, Muhammad Tika Khan, Shakeel Ahmed Butt, Syed Tajmul Islam Kirmani and Muhammad Shafi Wani.
