Excise and Taxation has been organized on scientific footings: Minister

Peshawar, October 11, 2012 (PPI-OT): Khyber Pakhtunkhwa Minister for Excise and taxation, Liaqat Shabab has said that Excise and Taxation was an important department of the Provincial Government owing disposal of its official matters, which now contrary to the past has been organized on scientific footings, keeping in view modern needs of the hour, he added.

This, he asked, the officers during his visit to the office of the Director General of Excise and Taxation Department, Shami Road, Peshawar.

Minister for Finance, Muhammad Humayun Khan, member Provincial Assembly and officers, officials of other concerned departments were also present on this occasion.

During his visit, computerized new number plates of the official vehicles of the ministers of provincial cabinet were also handed over to the Deputy Secretary of Excise and Taxation Department Abdul Aziz for further transaction to the quarter concerned.

It may be recalled that after the change of name of the province, the government had decided also to change the old number plates of the vehicles.

Liaqat Shabab also exchanged views with the Director General and officers of the Excise and Taxation Department and stressed upon the officers to discharge their official duties with devotion and dedication and try to serve the people with national zeal and enthusiasm.
