Experts stress need for adapting latest technologies in industry

Karachi, August 28, 2019 (PPI-OT): The foreign experts have narrated the salient features of latest global trends in in the related industries. The exhibitors have seen lots of potential for their machinery and technology in the fast growing processing and packaging market in Pakistan, saying that they are having good business at the exhibition.

While on the experts have presented various solutions to the Pakistani industries to adopt for competing the foreign competitors in the international markets, the exhibitors were remained busy in negotiating orders on the 2nd day of Plasti Pack and Iftech-2019, received overwhelming response from trade visitors who took keen interest in plastic, packaging and food processing machinery and technology along with the food ingredients and chemicals, displayed at the exhibition.

“Pakistan has productive market for food processing machinery however there is a need to create awareness among our buyers about the benefits of value addition“, said an exhibitor from Italy. “We see lots of future potential in Pakistani market for the technology our company is offering”, he added.

A high profile global food technology conference held on the side-line of Plasti Pack and Iftech exhibition 2019 at Karachi expo centre on the 2nd day. Based on the theme, “Future Foodtech, Reshaping the Industry Outlook”, prominent speakers and food packaging experts from Italy, Middle East, Pakistan U.A.E and Italy had discussed the need of adapting latest technologies for creating hygiene for food safety and healthy packaging as demand for safe food is increasing worldwide.

They particularly discussed the topics on: Entrepreneurship in Food Business: A Sustainable Solution, Biggest Challenges of Food Industry and Role of Technology in Finding Solutions, Food Trax, a Block Chain based, IOT Enabled Artificial Intelligent Solution to address traceability, transparency and credibility of Ingredients and Process in Food value chain, Re-Imagine the Future of Taste, critical ingredients in food and packaging industry and Cheese Processing Technology.

More than, 5,000 industry visitors from China, Afghanistan, Iran, UAE and from the various other cities of Pakistan including Faisalabad, Karachi, Lahore, Hyderabad, Sahiwal, Sialkot, Attock, Rawalpindi, Islamabad, Muzaffarabad, Kasur, Gujranwala, Sheikhupura, Multan, Haripur, Abbottabad, Khairpur, and Azad Kashmir have visited, 1st and 2nd day of the exhibition and appreciated the state of the art technologies displayed at the expo centre. A larger number of visitors are expected to visit on the last day of the Exhibition.
