Extremely worried about Yasin Malik’s well-being

Srinagar, May 03, 2019 (PPI-OT): In occupied Kashmir, mother and sister of the Jammu and Kashmir Liberation Front (JKLF) Chairman, Muhammad Yasin Malik, have said that they are extremely worried about his well-being. Addressing a press conference at the Malik’s Maisuma residence, today, they appealed to the people to pray for the JKLF chief who has been remanded to judicial custody till May 24.

“Why has he (Malik) been subjected to solitary confinement? We are extremely worried about his well-being. He won’t sustain for long in that cage,” said Yasin Malik’s sister. She said that the Indian government would be responsible if anything bad happened to her brother. “God forbid, if anything bad happened to him they (government) would be responsible. He (Malik) is in a very bad shape,” she added.

A Delhi court last week sent the JKLF Chairman to judicial custody till May 24. Before that, the court had sent him to the custody of India’s infamous National Investigation Agency. Earlier, Yasin Malik was brought taken to Delhi from Kot Bhalwal Jail in Jammu on April 09, 2019 after a court in occupied Kashmir granted his transit remand to the NIA. He has been detained in a false case registered against him.
