Federal Investigation Agency arranges workshops on cyber and electronic crimes

Islamabad, April 17, 2014 (PPI-OT): A press release issued by FIA says that as part of awareness campaign three workshops on “Cyber and Electronic Crime Investigation and Prosecution Challenges” were organized by NR3C-FIA on 5th March, 2014, 4th April 2014 and 16th April 2014 at Federal Judicial Academy, Islamabad.

Seventy five (75) Session Judges, Additional Session Judges, Civil Judges and Magistrates participated from all over Pakistan in the said workshops. The NR3C-FIA has planned to conduct similar one day workshops for other government institutions in the coming days.

The press release further says, National Response Centre for Cyber Crimes (NR3C) was established in the Federal Investigation Agency (FIA) in year-2007 to combat cyber and electronic crimes in the country. NR3C is providing a single point of contact for all matters related to cyber crimes. It is effectively performing dual role of combating cyber crimes as well as creating awareness among public and private sector organizations of Pakistan.
