Federal Minister for Interior Meets Chinese Consul General to Discuss Bilateral Cooperation and Security

Lahore, Federal Minister for Interior Mohsin Naqvi met with Chinese Consul General Zhao Shiren to discuss bilateral cooperation and the security of Chinese citizens in Pakistan. The meeting highlighted the ongoing commitment to ensuring the safety and security of Chinese nationals residing and working in Pakistan.

According to Press Information Department, the Chinese Consul General welcomed Mohsin Naqvi upon his arrival at the consulate. The discussions centered on issues of mutual interest, with a particular focus on enhancing security measures for Chinese citizens. Mohsin Naqvi emphasized that ensuring the safety of Chinese nationals in Pakistan is a top priority, noting that it is the country’s national responsibility to protect its valued guests.

The Federal Minister stated that instructions have been issued to all relevant agencies to ensure the safety of Chinese citizens. He underscored that Pakistan is committed to maintaining the strong bond between China and Pakistan, commonly referred to as an “all-weather friendship.” Naqvi reiterated that Pakistan would not allow any conspiracy to harm this relationship and that no effort would be spared to ensure the security of Chinese nationals.

The Chinese Consul General acknowledged the deep ties between the two countries and expressed gratitude for Pakistan’s efforts to ensure the safety of Chinese citizens. The meeting highlighted the ongoing cooperation between China and Pakistan in maintaining security and fostering a positive bilateral relationship.
