Finance Minister Muhammad Aurangzeb Seeks International Partnership for Pakistan’s Economic Growth

Washington DC, At a seminar titled ‘Opportunities and Challenges for the Pakistani Economy through 2024 and Beyond,’ Finance Minister Muhammad Aurangzeb invited international stakeholders to join Pakistan in its journey toward economic development. The seminar served as a platform for the minister to outline the government’s strategies aimed at enhancing economic performance across key sectors.

According to Ministry of Information and Broadcasting, Minister Aurangzeb discussed the government’s efforts to stimulate growth through various initiatives such as facilitating exports, increasing remittances, expanding the tax base, improving the ease of doing business, digitalizing the economy, and attracting foreign investment. He emphasized that Pakistan is focusing on sectors like agriculture, IT, mining, and energy to boost productivity and ensure sustainable growth. The minister also pointed to positive trends in industrial activity, a better agricultural outlook, and improvements in the Composite Leading Indicators of Pakistan’s major export markets as signs of economic recovery.
