Firdous Shah demands troops’ withdrawal from IHK

Srinagar, January 13, 2013 (PPI-OT): In occupied Kashmir, the Chairman of Jammu and Kashmir Democratic Political Movement, Firdous Ahmad Shah has urged India to withdraw its troops and repeal draconian laws from the territory. Firdous Ahmad Shah in a statement issued in Srinagar said that India, through draconian laws, had given a free hand to its forces to pick and kill the innocent people of Kashmir.

Expressing concern over the discovery of more unmarked graves in the territory, he urged the world community to take notice of the matter as the disappeared people especially the youth had been buried in such graves. He said that the whereabouts of the disappeared persons were not being provided to their relatives, which was the worst kind of human rights violation.
