Ghazo Collection organises exhibition to promote work of Women Entrepreneurs in Pakistan

Islamabad, April 13, 2013 (PPI-OT): Ghazo Collection organized an exhibition on Saturday, 6th April 2013 to promote the work of Women Entrepreneurs in Pakistan. The main objective of the event was to support the private sector initiative to empower the Women Entrepreneur in Pakistan.

Ghazala Humayun highlighted the objective and purpose of organizing this event empowering the Women Entrepreneurs in Pakistan. She said that women entrepreneurs are successfully doing business in textile garments, fashion designing, handicrafts, jewelry, fancy candles of international quality, handmade gift items, leather garments, furniture and fixtures and this event provided them an opportunity to introduce themselves.

She stated education sector, women have made good progress and are today representing many educational institutes. Women are also active in various sports in Pakistan and have already participated in national, regional and international competitions.

Mr.Zubair Ahmed Malik, President FPCCI, attended the event and stated that (FPCCI) has also been encouraging women entrepreneurs by way of giving them opportunities to participate in International trade fairs and delegations on subsidized conditions. At present, there are seven women’s chambers in Pakistan that work under the umbrella of FPCCI, all representing the four provinces of Pakistan. He praised the efforts of Ghazo in promoting women entrepreneurs.

Mr.Tariq Sayeed, Vice President CACCI, former President FPCCI and former and founder President SAARC CCI while visiting the Ghazo Collection event. “Empowering the Women Entrepreneurs in Pakistan” praised her cause for women entrepreneur and stated that without involving women entrepreneurs actively in economic activity, our country cannot achieve the target of economic stability and self-reliance.

This should become all the more apparent in view of the fact that the population of women in Pakistan is almost half the total population of 180 million. He also said that in Pakistan, currently Women entrepreneurs are working under the same macro, regulatory and institutional framework as their male counterparts in a free market mechanism.

Sheikh Humayun Sayeed, Chief Executive, SMH-International – Events Management informed that the best emerging designer Mr. Imran Rajput who was awarded at the Pakistan Fashion Week organized by Fashion Pakistan Council will be showcasing/displaying his outfits at the forth coming Pakistan Fashion and Textile Exhibition 2013 Dubai and also announced the exhibitions to be held in India, Qatar, USA, Canada and Australia during the year 20130.

The exhibition was a great success due to large attendance of Karachiites, famous and leading businessmen and women in fact elite of the Karachi were present there.
