Gilani urges patience, steadfastness in freedom course

Srinagar, May 21, 2013 (PPI-OT): In occupied Kashmir, veteran Hurriyet leader, Syed Ali Gilani has urged people to show patience and steadfastness in the way of struggle for right to self-determination. Addressing the workers of his party, Tehreek-e-Hurriyet Jammu and Kashmir, in various parts of occupied Kashmir over phone, Syed Ali Gilani said, “We are fighting for a noble and genuine cause and history stands witness that whenever a fight between righteousness and falsehood took place the upholders of falsehood used all the tactics of suppression and oppression to crush the righteous people and their movements.”

However, he said, by carrying their mission forward with tolerance righteous people achieved the goal of success either through martyrdom or by becoming conquers.

The octogenarian said, “India under its military occupation is looting our resources and with cultural aggression trying to tarnish our Islamic identity but in no case by the help of Almighty Allah shall we allow it to happen.”

He asked people “to remain vigilant and not to get carried away by the political deceit of pro-India parties.”
