Bomb Threat Call Prompts Evacuation at Srinagar Airport

Srinagar, A bomb threat against Vistara flight UK611, which arrived from New Delhi, led to a swift evacuation and thorough search at Srinagar airport today, causing temporary panic among passengers and staff.

According to Kashmir Media Service, the threat was received by the Air Traffic Control (ATC) in Srinagar, prompting immediate action by airport authorities. An official reported that the Central Industrial Security Force (CISF) implemented established safety protocols by evacuating the aircraft and conducting a detailed inspection with bomb disposal squads and sniffer dogs. Despite the intensive search, no explosives were found on the aircraft.

Passengers and crew were moved to a secure area during the operations, and normal airport activities resumed after the aircraft was cleared of any threats.
