Global rights bodies urged to stop Modi from confiscating properties in IIOJK

Muzaffarabad, June 14, 2023 (PPI-OT): Pasban-e-Hurriyat Jammu and Kashmir has urged the international human rights organizations to stop Indian government from confiscating the property of Hurriyat leaders and activists in occupied Jammu and Kashmir. Pasban-e-Hurriyat Chairman Uzair Ahmad Ghazali in a statement issued in Muzaffarabad termed the attachment of the property of Ayaz Muhammad Akbar, the All Parties Hurriyat Conference spokesman, as the worst imperialist tactic. Ayaz Akbar is imprisoned in the New Delhi’s notorious Tihar Jail since 2017.

Ghazali said that the Bharatiya Janata Party-led Hindutva regime is confiscating the properties of Hurriyat activists in IIOJK on the Israeli pattern and is trying to bring a demographic change by the dint of gun. He called on human rights organizations to stop the Indian government from committing atrocities in the disputed region and pressure it to release illegally detained resistance leaders, activists and ordinary Kashmiris from jails.
