Government decides to send Inter-Religious delegation to Vatican

Islamabad, January 12, 2016 (PPI-OT): Under the direction of Prime Minister of Pakistan, an Inter-Religious Parliamentary delegation will go next month for an audience with Pope Francis. As per direction of Prime Minister, Senator Kamran Michael, Federal Minister for Ports and Shipping will head the Delegation. The Head of the Delegation will submit a message of Prime Minister of Islamic Republic of Pakistan in black and white to his holiness Pope Francis. The delegation will apprise the pope about the sacrifices that Pakistan has laid down while combating war on terrorism.

Kamran Michael has stated if the history will write a page of war on terrorism, the most of its portion will be covered by the sacrifices of Pakistani nation. He added more that Pakistan is a peace loving nation and the whole world is required to acknowledge Pakistan a peace loving country. Minister Ports has said that Pope Francis is likely to issue a formal statement regarding efforts and endeavours of Pakistan to establish peace and serenity in the world. Minister Ports and Shipping has stated that on behalf of Prime Minister of Pakistan he will extend heartiest invitation to Pope Francis for visiting Pakistan; further he added the visit of Pope Francis to Pakistan is likely in this year.
