Islamabad: Governor and Chief Minister Balochistan Nawab Zulfiqar Ali Magsi and Nawab Muhammad Aslam Khan Raisani respectively called on President Asif Ali Zardari at Aiwan-e-Sadr today.
Nawab Nadir Magsi, provincial minister Sindh and Dr. Zaheeruddin Babar Awan were also present.
Issues related to Balochistan including law and order situation and status of development projects in the province came under discussion during the meeting.
1The President urged the provincial government to take all possible steps for maintaining law and order in the province besides focusing efforts on the welfare and uplift of the people of Balochistan.
He reiterated commitment of the present Government to bring the people of Balochistan into the mainstream of national life and to address their grievances and sense of deprivation on priority basis.
The Governor briefed the President about situation in the Province and thanked him for giving special attention towards the uplift of the people of the Balochistan and undertaking major developmental projects to bring the people of Balochistan at par with other provinces in terms of development and other facilities.
