Governor of Sindh Calls for Enhanced Police Measures to Tackle Street Crime in Karachi

Karachi: Governor Kamran Khan Tesori of Sindh has emphasized the need for rigorous action against street criminals, advocating for enhanced surveillance, increased police patrols, and more frequent blockades and snap checks in Karachi. His remarks were made during a recent meeting with Additional IG Karachi, Javed Alam Odhu, focused on improving citywide law and order.

According to Sindh Governor House, Governor Tesori discussed strategies to curb street crimes by enhancing surveillance systems and strengthening intelligence operations. He recommended a significant increase in police patrols, blockades, and snap checks to effectively manage crime in the city. The meeting with Additional IG Odhu revolved around establishing stringent law enforcement measures and expanding the police’s capacity to address and eliminate street crimes.

Additional IG Odhu assured that the police are intensifying efforts to combat street crimes and are actively working to improve security and law enforcement across Karachi, reflecting a proactive stance against urban crime challenges.
