Govt Committed to Strengthen Legal & Institutional Frameworks for Senior Citizens

Islamabad: Law Minister Azam Nazeer Tarar has expressed the government’s firm commitment to strengthen legal and institutional frameworks for the well-being of senior citizens. Addressing a function in Islamabad, he highlighted the significant steps being taken under the ICT Senior Citizens Act, 2021.

According to Radio Pakistan, the minister underscored the implementation of tangible measures such as the establishment of the Senior Citizens Fund. Additionally, he announced the development of Darul Shafqat, a dedicated old-age home in the capital, as part of the government’s efforts to support senior citizens.
