Govt slashes petrol price by Rs8 per litre

The government has announced a reduction of eight rupees in the price of petrol while the price of high speed diesel has been kept unchanged for the next fortnight.

According to a press release issued by Finance Ministry the new price of petrol is 259.34 rupees. The prices are effective from today.
