Govt’s pragmatic measures for fiscal discipline leading to economic growth: Dar
Finance Minister Muhammad Ishaq Dar says the pragmatic measures being taken by government to bring about economic and fiscal stability are leading to economic recovery and growth.
He was talking to the British Acting High Commissioner, Andrew Dalgleish who called on him in Islamabad on Monday
They exchanged views on matters of common interest, including promoting mutual trade and investment between the two countries.
The Finance Minister underscored that Pakistan has long historic ties with the United Kingdom and relations between the two countries need to be further expanded for the mutual benefits of the two sides.
He briefed the British envoy about economic challenges in the midst of devastating floods.
The British Acting High Commissioner extended full support of his government for the government and people of Pakistan in mitigating the socio-economic challenges.
