Wafaqi Mohtasib Prioritizes Resolution of Overseas Pakistanis’ Issues, 70,000 Complaints Addressed

Islamabad: In a significant move to streamline and enhance the support mechanisms for Overseas Pakistanis, the Wafaqi Mohtasib, Mr. Ejaz Ahmad Qureshi, has issued directives to intensify efforts across various departments to swiftly address the community’s challenges. This initiative underscores the crucial economic role played by Pakistanis abroad and aims to improve their engagement with governmental services.

According to Press Information Department, Mr. Qureshi’s directives came following a detailed report on the hardships faced by Overseas Pakistanis, highlighting the necessity for better administrative processes and support. In response, he has ordered NADRA to establish offices in Bahrain and Baghdad and directed the Airport Security Force (ASF) to facilitate the issuance of entry passes for OPF officials at the One Window Facilitation Desks.

The recent meeting chaired by Mr. Afzal Latif, Secretary of the Wafaqi Mohtasib’s Office, brought together senior officials from various ministries to discuss improving service delivery for Overseas Pakistanis. The Grievance Commissioner for Overseas Pakistanis reported significant progress, with over 70,000 complaints resolved this year, demonstrating a proactive approach to addressing the community’s needs.

The establishment of a dedicated office of the Grievance Commissioner within the Wafaqi Mohtasib’s Office ensures that Overseas Pakistanis have a direct channel for reporting issues, ranging from bureaucratic inefficiencies to more complex legal and administrative problems.
