Gwadar Appoints New Director General to Accelerate Development Initiatives

Gwadar: Shafaqat Anwar Shahwani has officially assumed his new role as the Director General of the Gwadar Development Authority (GDA), promising to expedite development under the Gwadar Smart Port City Master Plan and enhance local participation.

According to Directorate General Public Relation – Govt of Balochistan, during his induction, Chief Engineer GDA Haji Syed Muhammad briefed Director General Shahwani on the current development projects and various sectors under the GDA’s oversight. Emphasizing Gwadar’s global significance, Shahwani outlined his commitment to accelerating prosperity and development as part of the China Pakistan Economic Corridor initiatives.

The Director General also stressed the importance of involving local communities in the developmental process to ensure that the benefits of growth and expansion are widespread.
