Habib Bank Announces First Interim Cash Dividend Payment and Mandatory Shareholder Updates

Karachi, Habib Bank Limited has completed the payment process for its First Interim Cash Dividend D-2024(I). The dividend, amounting to Rs. 4.00 per share or 40% of the share value for the first quarter ended March 31, 2024, was declared by the bank’s Board of Directors on April 23, 2024. Eligible shareholders as of May 3, 2024, received their dividends directly into their accounts with valid International Bank Account Numbers (IBAN) from May 15 to May 16, 2024.

According to information available from the Pakistan Stock Exchange (PSX), The bank has provided detailed transaction records including the number of shares held, the total dividend amount, tax and Zakat deductions, and the net amount credited. These details are now available in the Centralized Cash Dividend Register (CCDR) and can be accessed for tax filing or record-keeping by registering for e-Dividend at the Central Depository Company’s website.

Additionally, the Securities and Exchange Commission of Pakistan mandates that shareholders not providing valid IBAN details will have their dividend payments withheld. Affected shareholders are urged to submit their IBAN information, along with a valid copy of their CNIC, to the bank’s Share Registrar at M/s. CDC Share Registrar Services Limited, located in Karachi, or through the investor account services of the Central Depository Company of Pakistan Limited.

Moreover, physical shareholders are advised to provide mandatory personal information to the Share Registrar immediately and to convert their shares from physical to scripless form as per regulatory requirements to avoid legal non-compliance or future inconveniences.
